The J

  1. Cece had a smile that could heal you. She was bright, committed, hardworking, stoic, caring, comforting, selfless, nurturing, funny, ethical, deliberate, lived with a purpose, straight–up, strong, responsible, a humanitarian, proud and a woman of integrity. She taught us about perseverance and doing the right thing.

The years spent with her a Lazy “J” Ranch were some of the best moments of our lives. We remember having our first Chorizo’s at midnight along with Geneva’s cake washed down by some wine that had a twist top. We remembered not wanting to hold Chico for the flip mount because he would bite whoever was holding him and how that would make her giggle. We remember her giggle. We remember her walking up the hill in the morning brushing her teeth and gagging. We remember washing dishes and singing “Masquerade” by George Benson. We remember her in the chicken coop. We remember fighting to do the dishes Saturday night so we would not have to lead the campers in songs such as “going on a squeegee hunt”. We remember making pink French toast for Valentine’s Day and green for Saint Patrick’s Day. We remember waiting hours for Mrs. J to finish her poker game so we could stay up late socializing with the boys. We remember Mrs. J making us sleep at the house so we could not socialize with the boys. We remember her wedding day and how her beauty took our breath away. We remember her pregnant with Veronica and then later with Little Kevin.

We will miss picking up the phone and calling her, no matter how much time had passed; we would picking-up right where we were as if no time had passed. Cece had a way about her. Our life was better because she was in it. She was one of those special people who mattered and will be remembered always.

  2. Jill & Jacki Dedicate this song to Cece:
She's got a way about her
I don't know what it is
But I know that I can't live without her
She's got a way of pleasin'
I don't know why it is
But there doesn't have to be a reason anywhere

She's got a smile that heals me
I don't know what it is
But I have to laugh when she reveals me
She's got a way of talkin'
I don't know why it is
But it lifts me up when we are walkin' anywhere

She comes to me when I'm feelin' down
    Inspires me without a sound
She touches me and I get turned around
She's got a way of showin'
    How I make her feel
And I find the strength to keep on goin'
She's got a light around her
And ev'rywhere she goes a million
Dreams of love surround her ev'rewhere

She comes to me when I'm feelin' down
    Inspires me without a sound
She touches me, I get turned around oh oh oh

She's got a smile that heals me
I don't know why it is
But I have to laugh when she reveals me
She's got a way about her
I don't know what it is
But I know that I can't live without her any way

  3. How do you put into words Cece?? From the day I started picking her up as a teenager to get to work at camp, she touched my heart I feel she was there to bestow kisses and loving words to both my kids, Courtney (her birthday sister:) and Grant, growing up...to show them what true sibling love is.
I felt she was always alittle of a mom to Anna, Angelique, and Timmy, always challenging them and encouraging their moral and ethical values by the the role model she was . She loved Greg, as all of us did, and we all spent many cherished times together....
Then came Kevin Besides loving each other, both of your chef qualities over the campfire....thousands upon thousands of hot dogs, and hamburgers was your love ignited.
She shined as a mom to Veronica, her pride and joy, and was SOOO thrilled when she and Kevin, were blessed with a little Kevin to complete their love :)
Your voice will never die Cece, your love will be felt forever.....
All our love is sent to ALL your family.....
You are someone who will live in our hearts forever
We feel SSOOOO blessed to have had you touch our lives...
