The Celebration of Life

Thank you to all who came to help us celebrate Cecilia, Chila, Cece's life

And especially big thanks to all those who helped with decorations, set up, food and clean up.

In our time of distress, we have been overwhelmed by the love and support from family and friends.

It is a beautiful tribute to my sister's life that she was loved by so many wonderful and generous people.

Thanks also to those who contributed to the scholarship fund... we are still waiting for the word from the Oxnard College Foundation, but after the first week, we were already half way to the amount we need to have the scholarship endowed.

Tim, Angelique and I created the criteria for the scholarship to be for those students who were returning to college with an interest in the medical field. We specified residents of Ventura County.

We also asked to participate in the selection of the scholarship recipients. Thanks again for helping to make this happen!

Angelique created beautiful remembrance cards for Chila with little hearts that held wild flowers to be planted.  One guest planted the hearts right away and...
