co-workers

  1. I worked with Cece at Ventura County Public Health but I also counted her as a friend . She was a caring nurse and a strong health advocate for pregnant mothers. She made very important contributions in assuring quality care for mothers on Medi-Cal and helping moms with identified medical conditions maintain and improve their health between pregnancies.

I remember how we used to talk about our children. She always strived for the best for her children. Also her family came first for her.

Cece had a strong sense of calm and patience. When I see a picture in my mind of Cece I see a woman fighting for the health rights of women, a proud mother, a smiling and laughing friend, and a diligent nurse. Cece was a very kind and caring person and I feel very blessed to have known her.

To Kevin, Veronica, and Kevin Junior, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. I know that you have an angel watching over you in heaven.

  2. Cece was my co-worker, friend and mentor. I will always remember her as a kind and compassionate woman who was dedicated to making the world a better place. During the time we spent together, her love and joy was always apparent when she spoke of her family. She felt that all of you were her greatest blessings in this life. We were all graced by her presence if only for a short time. She will be truly missed. My condolences to the Cabrera and Urango family.

In gratitude for having had her in my life,

  3. I am so sorry to hear of her sudden passing. My first recollection of Cece was her first days in the Operating Room, eager to learn a new skill and provide her patients with the best care. Cece was compassionate, calm and had a great sense of humor. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time of loss.
